ABOUT US
The St. Paul 's Center helps by providing:
- Emergency housing for homeless mothers and their children in a 19-bed shelter.
- Support and services to help families move on to independent living.
Residents will receive support and services in the areas of:
- Counseling
- Parenting
- Homemaking
- Budgeting
Literacy
- Pediatric and maternal health care
- Mental health
- Substance abuse
- Domestic violence
- Education
- Job training and placement
- Permanent housing
Some of these services are provided on site while others are delivered through agreements with social service providers throughout the Capital District.
Once a family has moved on to permanent housing, the St. Paul's Center Staff continues to offer assistance and support to help the family succeed in independent living through the Bridges Program and our full-time Transitional Client Advocate.
The Home Again Furniture Project helps families by providing donated or purchased goods necessary to transition into permanent housing.
The St. Paul's Center will offer housing regardless of race, age, religion, country of origin, or sexual orientation. There will be no proselytizing or expectation that guests participate in any religious programs.
